Why we drop in small runs

Scarcity sells. We know that, and it is not why we do it. We drop in small runs because the alternative is forecasting demand for a piece nobody has worn yet, then eating the difference in a warehouse for eighteen months.

A run for us is somewhere between two and six hundred units. That is enough to justify the mill minimums and small enough that we can kill a piece quickly if it turns out we were wrong about it.

It also means the feedback loop is short. A fit complaint in week one changes the next cut, rather than the next financial year. Three of the pieces currently on the site exist in their second or third revision for exactly that reason.

The trade-off lands on you, and we would rather be honest about it: things sell out, and most of them do not come back. Get on the list if that bothers you.
